preparations

So far, I haven’t done any. Preparations, that is. I’ve been too busy doing Christmas stuff and sleeping and wasting time on the internet to have time for those practical sorts of things.

Anyway, here’s a blog! The first step toward preparing for Barcelona, right? The plan is to write stuff on here to keep people updated on how my semester is going. You know, recounting stories of accidentally eating meat in Spain, forgetting how to speak Spanish, etc.

(13 days until I leave.)

EDIT: I just looked out my living room window, and it's still snowing. It's like the heavens are pooping snow on us. Argh. For comparison's sake (and possibly to make myself feel a little better about leaving home for a foreign country soon), I looked up the current weather in Barcelona. Currently, it's sunny and 55°F there.

  1. Amy - being a vegi in Spain is hard. very hard. They think that if you are vegetarian, you'll still eat chicken and fish. People (especially the adults) simply do not understand why someone wouldn't eat meat. So you may never accidentally eat meat, but at some point you may have to in desperation, or out of necessity. Have fun! It seriously is a fantastic place. If you go to Granada, let me know... I may have some things for you to do.. :p
